Information about Gajendra Moksha Stotram and Pooja
In olden times, there was a King named Indradhyumn in Dravid India, who was a very ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. With passage of time, he became more and more distracted from the worldly affairs and went to exile in deep forest for worshipping Lord Vishnu. Once, Sage Agastya was passing from the place where king Indradhyumn was in deep meditation and therefore did not noticed Sage Agastya, who felt that the king was intentionally insulting him and therefore, cursed King Indradhyumn to get born as an elephant in his next life.
The King Indradhyumn became "Gajaraj Gajendra" in his next life and started living on Trikut mountain. Once, he went to a pond to quench his thirst and went inside the pond for this purpose. All of a sudden, a huge crocodile appeared out of pond's water and clenched Gajendra's leg in its mouth. Gajendra was in deep agony and pain and tried his best to free its leg from the crocodile, but was unable to do so, since crocodile was very strong and powerful.
Ultimately, Gajendra started to see his death very near and in that critical time, he remembered of Lord Vishnu and prayed him to save his life. Lord Vishnu immediately rushed to the place, where the crocodile was holding Gajendra's feet in his mouth and pulled both of them out of the water. With the help of his Sudarshan Chakra, Lord Vishnu cut the mouth of crocodile and freed his devotee Gajendra from the life-threatening situation. The prayer done by Gajendra to Lord Vishnu is known as "Gajendra Moksha Strotra".

Swasti Vachan, Shanti Path, Sankalp, Ganesh Sthapna, Kalash Sthapan, Lord Vishnu Sthapan, Navgrah Sthapan, Brahma Sthapan, Agni Sthapan, Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses, Navgrah Mantra Japa (1 mala for each planet), Gajendra Moksha Stotra for 11 times, Lord Vishnu Mantra for 11000 times, Vishnu Sahastranaam Path for 11 times, Lord Vishnu Puja, Homam with Honey, Ghee, Sugar, Til, Ashtagandh, Sandalwood powder, Navgrah Samidha and then Purnahuti, Aarti, Prasad to Brahmins
