Gayatri Jayanti - Birth Anniversary of Goddess Gayatri is observed every year on the 11th day of Jyeshtha month that is Jyeshtha Shukla Ekadashi. It is believed that performing a Gayatri Jayanti Puja on this day is considered very auspicious for bringing Knowledge, Intelligence, Wisdom and Self-Confidence by the blessings of Veda Mata Gayatri. This year, Gayatri Jayanti is on Friday, 6th of June 2025.
Goddess Gayatri is depicted as sitting on a Lotus with five heads and is also regarded as a consort of Lord Brahma. The four heads of Gayatri Maa represents four Vedas and the fifth head represents Almighty God. By worshipping Maa Gayatri, the sins and the inauspicious results of the bad deeds of many births are eliminated and knowledge of divine is generated. Goddess Gayatri is also considered as a combined manifestation of Goddess Mahakali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati.
Goddess Gayatri through her blessings, brings the blessings of Sun, eradicates the sins of past life, sharpens intelligence, enlightens you and enables you to possess divine qualities. It leads a person to the right path, blesses him with peace, happiness and contentment.
